Getting to your Discovery Day
Your Careers Adviser will inform you which of the following transport options your school will be taking.
Bus
- If you are travelling to the University on a bus organised by your school, you will arrive at the University Bus Bay. UOW Student Guides will meet you there and direct you to the University Hall for registration.
- All bus departures at the end of the day will exit from the Western Carpark. Due to the volume of participants and buses involved, it is imperative that you do not meet at any other point other than the Western Carpark.
Train
- If you arrive by train you will need to catch the public shuttle bus from North Wollongong Station (University Station) to the Northfields Avenue Bus Bay, in front of the University. Buses depart the train station approximately every 20 minutes. The bus trip from North Wollongong Station to the University takes approximately 5 minutes. The cost of the bus is 60 cents each way. If you wish to walk to the University from the train station, it will take you approximately 20 minutes.
- Those students departing by train will need to catch the UOW Shuttle Bus from Northfields Avenue Bus Bay. This Bus depart approximately every 20-30 minutes.
Car
- If you are coming to UOW by car, please park in the Western Carpark. Enter the University via the Western Gate & collect a parking voucher from the Security Guard at the Gatekeepers Box, then follow the directional signs to the Carpark. You MUST ONLY park in the Western Carpark and you MUST collect a parking voucher. If you park anywhere else you will be fined. Fines are collected through the Infringement Processing Bureau, not through the University. The University takes no responsibility for fines that visitors to the University are issued with.
- All car departures at the end of the day will exit from the Western Carpark.
